Von Duprin 99 Series Electric Latch Retraction Rim Exit Device

Electric Latch Retraction allows for the remote unlatching of the exit device. When a control station operator flips a switch, the latch bolt retracts and allows for and immediate change of the exit device to push-pull operation. A powerful continuous duty solenoid retracts the latch bolt, either for momentary unlatching or for extended periods of time. The EL feature is designed as an alternative to manual dogging. EL devices are also useful with automatic door operators.

24VDC with 16 amp inrush, 0.3 amp holding. Grooved case with a smooth push bar for all types of single and double doors with mullion. UL listed for accident hazard installations. Covers stock metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts. Single point locking on frame or mullion with an included 299 series roller strike. Non-handed and field sizeable. Fits doors 2'6" to 3' (36" model) or 3'1" to 4' (48" model). Installs 39-13/16" above finished floor to centerline of device for most local code compliances. Projects 3-13/16" when neutral and 3-1/16" when depressed. The latch case measures 8" x 2-1/4" x 2-3/4". Includes all necessary fasteners to install on 1-3/4" or 2-1/4" thick doors, both hollow metal and wood.
