The 4031 is a universal hold open door closer designed for use on doors that have moderate traffic conditions and can be mounted Hinge Side, Top Jamb or Parallel. Cast iron body with forged steel main arm & all weather fluid. UL & cUL Listed. Because the 4031 is adjustable it can operate interior doors 26" to 48" wide or exterior doors 26" to 36" wide, given standard conditions. Includes closer body, Hold Open arm, metal cover, self- tapping screw pack and installation instructions. The closer can be mounted for use on up to 180° openings. The hold open point is adjustable. An auxiliary stop (not included) is recommended to prevent the door from opening past the closer's maximum opening point to prevent damage to the closer. The top rail of your door needs to be 5" or more, or a drop plate is required on parallel arm mounting and 2-7/8" on hinge side mounting.
