A drop plate is to allow a door closer to be installed where conditions exist that prevents the closer from being mounted in a standard manner. This drop plate is designed for use with the LCN 1460 series closers only and is required for hinge side mounting where the top rail is less than 2-1/2". The top rail refers to the top horizontal section of the frame of the door. If mounting on the head frame above the door, this plate is required if the frame is less than 1-3/4" or if a flush ceiling prevents proper installation. The plate requires a minimum of 1-1/2" for a top rail or 1-1/4" for a head frame to be mounted securely. The plate is pre-drilled to accept the mounting locations of an LCN 1460 series closer and has holes to mount the plate to the head frame or top rail. Available in Aluminum, Brass, Dark Bronze, Light Bronze, Statuary Bronze or Tan sprayed finishes. Other finishes available special order. Additional InformationMore Specifications |
