Detex Vertical Rod Assembly for ECL Series Devices

A Vertical Rod Assembly (VRA) is used with a Detex Exit Control Lock (ECL-230) to provide exit control security on an outswinging double door application. In addition it may be used on single doors to provide top and bottom latching instead of the single point latching provided by the ECL. The VRA has no provision for locking from the outside. The door may be locked or unlocked from the outside only if the accompanying ECL-230 is installed with an outside cylinder in a Type C installation. There are 5 models to choose from: Type B - For a single door for top and bottom latching or for double doors where the ECL is installed on the active leaf.
Type C - For double door applications where one door is inactive until the active door is opened.
Type D - For double doors where both doors are considered active.
