Detex Battery Eliminator

Two models are available: BE961-1 and BE961-2. The BE961-1 model has 9VDC or 6VDC outputs to the exit device and are jumper selectable. The BE961-2 model includes an internal alarm which sounds at 95db if the secure power feed wires are cut or when the ECL unit sounds. Line input transient suppression and power status LED are standard features on both models.

Designed to power security devices such as the Detex ECL-230D, ECL-600 battery powered series exit control locks, the V40 alarmed rim exit device or the EA-500 exit alarm. The BE961-2 will power the ECL 230D and ECL-600 without reliance on batteries. The units with batteries act as backup if power fails to the BE961.

This unit can be installed on the wall adjacent to the protected door and wire run from the exit device to the mounting location via an included 9' 6" flexible conduit. The BE961 can drive up to 3 ECL-230D units, ECL-600's, 3 V40's or 3 EA-500's. The wire run from the most remote unit to the BE961 should not exceed 75 feet using 18ga. stranded wire. Wire is not included.

Includes: BE961 unit (select style), installation instructions, transformer, 9' 6" flexible armored cable and mounting hardware. Transformer requires 120VAC. Unit is 4-5/8" W x 4-5/8" L x 2" D and is a cast aluminum case.
