Product Details
Increase security on wood doors or pairs of wood doors by installing the MS1837 lock. The bolt extends into the jamb or secondary door as the bottom of the door is locked into the threshold by a stainless steel bottom bolt. A 360° turn of a key or thumbturn (cylinders not included) throws the counterbalanced bolt into the opposite door and drops the bolt into the threshold. The key can only be removed when the bolts are positively locked or unlocked. Lock accepts any standard 1-5/32" diameter mortise cylinder from either or both sides using an Adams Rite MS cam. Case is 1" x 6" x 2-3/16" Bolt is 5/8" x 1-3/4" x 2-7/8" with a 1-3/8" throw. Eight ply laminated steel with Alumina-Ceramic core to deter hacksaw attacks. The threshold bolt is hexagonal in shape and is 3/8" diameter, measured from flat side to flat side. The MS1837 is mounted 36" from the bottom of the door to the center of the cylinder hole. Shorter distances can be accomplished by adjusting the threaded rod. Other heights can be special ordered. 1-1/2" backset only.
